Meet the Morning Team
Below are our therapists who work the mornings from 6:00am – 1:00pm
Hallie Scott
Physiotherapist
Hallie’s treatment theory:
Find what doesn’t move and get it moving! My goal is to find where the restriction’s are and increase it’s mobility, this will create less compensation. And of course, always strengthen.
- Enjoys treating: Shoulders and hips! These are the most mobile joints in the body.
- Would tell future clients: Always listen to your body, it will tell you what you nee to know!
- Don’t slack off when things are just starting to go well. Continue with your exercises longer than you think you need to.
- For injury prevention, make sure to always progress slowly with all of your programs. Progressing too quickly is a very common cause of injury
- Favourite saying: As cliche as it sounds “If you don’t move it, you will lose it” ….use your range of motion or you could see it disappear.”
Rebecca See
Massage/Osteo
Rebecca’s treatment theory:
Our body is one unit and one thing affects another, it’s like putting together a jigsaw puzzle where at the end your body feels complete!
- Enjoys treating: Concussions, headaches and anything neck. Also enjoys working on plantar fasciitis, wrists, abdominal issues, and anything chronic!
- Would tell future clients: Listen to your body, it heals in time, and what you feel in body and mind is important!
- Favourite saying: “Movement is Medicine”
Scott Purdy
Physiotherapist
Scott’s treatment theory:
Restrictions won’t lie, when any of your joints are restricted , the muscles try and move things differently and make it harder to get rid of those pesky muscle injuries.
- Enjoys treating: Necks and backs! As well as all shoulders and knees.
- Would tell future clients: Respect your bodies healing time line and if it seems prolonged, seek help/treatment.
- Favourite saying: “I only break things on Tuesdays!”
A former Maritimer who now calls Calgary home, Scott has been practicing Physiotherapy in Southeast Calgary for the past 20 years. Scott graduated from McGill in 2000 and has certifications in Medical Acupuncture, Dry Needling (GTT), and Manual Therapy accreditation for spinal manipulations in Alberta. Scott enjoys his work, finds it rewarding and is genuinely concerned with the well being of people in his care.
Tanya Hoffman
Physiotherapist
Tanya’s treatment theory:
The goal of treatment is to get clients back to a pain free functional level that results in them no longer requiring our services for a particular injury. Sadly, for some chronic conditions clients may require regular or semi-regular treatment to prevent or treat symptom aggravation.
- Enjoys treating: She has a special interest in TMJ dysfunction, headaches and concussion. She also enjoys working with sports injuries and complex motor vehicle clients.
- Would tell future clients: Be nice to yourself. Listen to your body in all home, work and recreational activities. Modify the activity if it doesn’t feel right. Seek treatment if you’ve gone too far and symptoms persist longer than a few days.
- Favourite saying: “Have a delightful day!”
