Meet the Morning Team

Below are our therapists who work the mornings from 6:00am – 1:00pm

Hallie Scott

Physiotherapist

Hallie’s treatment theory:
Find what doesn’t move and get it moving! My goal is to find where the restriction’s are and increase it’s  mobility, this will create less compensation. And of course, always strengthen.

  • Enjoys treating: Shoulders and hips! These are the most mobile joints in the body.
  • Would tell future clients: Always listen to your body, it will tell you what you nee to know!
    • Don’t slack off when things are just starting to go well. Continue with your exercises longer than you think you need to.
    • For injury prevention, make sure to always progress slowly with all of your programs. Progressing too quickly is a very common cause of injury
  • Favourite saying: As cliche as it sounds “If you don’t move it, you will lose it” ….use your range of motion or you could see it disappear.”
Hallie completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta in 2014. She has attained post graduated certifications in Functional dry needling (FDN), Accupuncture (CAFCI), Spinal Manipulation (SMART), Diagnostic Imaging, Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), and Functional movement screening (FMS). Hallie brings with her a genuine passion for helping people recover so they can get back to doing what they love. Her physiotherapy practice focuses on manual therapy and exercise prescription to help treat and correct imbalances so that you can get back to moving better!

Rebecca See

Massage/Osteo

Rebecca’s treatment theory:
Our body is one unit and one thing affects another, it’s like putting together a jigsaw puzzle where at the end your body feels complete!

  • Enjoys treating: Concussions, headaches and anything neck. Also enjoys working on plantar fasciitis, wrists, abdominal issues, and anything chronic!
  • Would tell future clients: Listen to your body, it heals in time, and what you feel in body and mind is important!
  • Favourite saying: “Movement is Medicine”
Starting as an athlete herself,  Rebecca took Ballet to a professional level only leaving due to injuries. Going through multiple injury rehabs has helped her find a love for how the human body functions and how it can be put back together like a jigsaw puzzle. This brought her to discovering her true identity; Working with people as a whole and teaching them to work with their own bodies is both rewarding and fulfilling for her. Beginning as a Personal Fitness Trainer for 2 years, Rebecca could not stop there. Her desire for learning took over as well as her love for putting the body back together and creating a pain-free life for her clients!  Moving on to Fascial Stretch Therapy and Neurokinetic Therapy, she then entered the world of modern holistic techniques around healing. Now offering both massage and osteopathy as her main therapy types, Rebecca is well versed in both relaxation and therapeutic treatments as well as Fascial Stretch Therapy with a dash of Cupping, ART, and more! Let her share her passion with you through a wonderfully therapeutic session that will leave you feeling great.

Scott Purdy

Physiotherapist

Scott’s treatment theory:
Restrictions won’t lie, when any of your joints are restricted , the muscles try and move things differently and make it harder to get rid of those pesky muscle injuries.

  • Enjoys treating: Necks and backs! As well as all shoulders and knees.
  • Would tell future clients: Respect your bodies healing time line and if it seems prolonged, seek help/treatment.
  • Favourite saying: “I only break things on Tuesdays!”

A former Maritimer who now calls Calgary home, Scott has been practicing Physiotherapy in Southeast Calgary for the past 20 years. Scott graduated from McGill in 2000 and has certifications in Medical Acupuncture, Dry Needling (GTT), and Manual Therapy accreditation for spinal manipulations in Alberta. Scott enjoys his work, finds it rewarding and is genuinely concerned with the well being of people in his care.

Tanya Hoffman

Physiotherapist

Tanya’s treatment theory:

The goal of treatment is to get clients back to a pain free functional level that results in them no longer requiring our services for a particular injury.  Sadly, for some chronic conditions clients may require regular or semi-regular treatment to prevent or treat symptom aggravation.

  • Enjoys treating: She has a special interest in TMJ dysfunction, headaches and concussion.  She also enjoys working with sports injuries and complex motor vehicle clients.
  • Would tell future clients: Be nice to yourself. Listen to your body in all home, work and recreational activities.  Modify the activity if it doesn’t feel right.  Seek treatment if you’ve gone too far and symptoms persist longer than a few days.
  • Favourite saying: “Have a delightful day!”
Tanya is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, class of 1998.  She began her physical therapy career in neurological rehabilitation.  Subsequently, the past 20 plus years, she has been working in out-patient orthopaedics.  Tanya is a registered manual therapist, qualified to perform spinal manipulation and acupuncture/dry needling. Her focus is to treat the underlying biomechanical dysfunction, prevent ongoing symptoms and further injury with manual therapy, education and exercise.
She enjoys regularly playing tennis or being in the great outdoors walking her dog, hiking, biking or x-country skiing.
